Dr Nari Ahmadi is a consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon with expertise in urological cancers and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Ahmadi obtained his medical degree from the UNSW and his Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney. Following completion of his urological training and his fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he undertook a further two-year fellowship in ‘Advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Oncology’ in Los Angeles, under direct mentorship of Professor Gill and his colleagues at the University of Southern California.
During this period, he gained experience in management of urological cancers and reconstruction urology and was involved in pioneering new techniques in robotic surgery including Robotic-Retroperitoneal Node Dissection for treatment of advanced testicular cancer and the world’s first case of Robotic Level 4 IVC Tumour Thrombectomy for treatment of advanced renal cancer.
Dr Ahmadi is one of Australia’s leading Robotic Surgeons with experience in over 1,500 robotic surgery cases. He is a Da Vinci accredited robotic proctor, providing mentorship in robotic surgery for Australian surgeons. He has presented extensively in national and international conferences and has authored multiple book chapters in urology and extensive publications in peer reviewed urological journals.
He is actively involved in collaborative national and international research projects in urological cancers and robotic surgery.
