Dr Rishi Sud is a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist and Director of Physician Training at Gosford Hospital, and Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. He graduated from Western Sydney University and completed his Physicians training at Concord Hospital and Gastroenterology Advanced Training at St George Hospital and Gosford Hospital.
Rishi provides quality, evidence-based care across all areas of Gastroenterology. He has a particular interest in bowel cancer surveillance, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Rishi also has a strong interest in medical education and mentoring of trainees. He is accredited for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Rishi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
Rishi is known for his attention to detail and the compassionate manner in which he cares for his patients. He enjoys his interactions with patients and their families and will spend time explaining his diagnosis and management plan.
All privately insured patients are strictly NO-GAP billed. Rishi assesses all referrals, and if appropriate patients are given the option of proceeding directly to their procedure at Strathfield Private Hospital or Lakeview Private Hospital to expedite their care. The only cost for the patient’s bedside consultation and endoscopic procedure is their health fund excess (if applicable).
