Strathfield Private Hospital is conveniently located in Sydney’s inner west, close to major roads and Strathfield station.

Strathfield Private Hospital has the privileged status of being a special teaching hospital for the University of Sydney. This means that you can be assured of receiving the very best care by highly qualified practitioners. Our intensive care and coronary care units are equipped with some of the most sophisticated technology and are staffed by specialist medical and nursing staff.

All wards are covered 24 hours a day with experienced medical officers.

The hospital has 96 beds in both private and shared room accommodation. We endeavour to meet requests for private rooms, however, this may not be possible at times, due to the level of occupancy in the hospital and the acuity of other patients.

If your child is to be admitted for surgery, it is recommended you visit the hospital with your child prior to admission as this will provide reassurance about the hospital. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child and are welcome to stay overnight.

Our chefs, in consultation with our dietician, prepare a variety of fresh nutritious meals, catering to the dietary requirements of all patients.

As a Department of Veteran’s Affairs Veteran Partnering hospital you have immediate access to our care without the need for prior approval (prior approval is required in some circumstances e.g. cosmetic surgery, respite care, admissions to registered psychiatric beds).

Strathfield Private Hospital is an accredited member of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). They work with us in establishing standards and procedures which help us remain focussed on the quality and care we provide.
